2. Scope

These terms apply to consumer purchases through our EU / international storefront unless a specific country-market set of terms applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules in the country to which we actively sell remain applicable where they cannot legally be excluded. Statutory consumer withdrawal rights do not apply to B2B purchases unless otherwise agreed.

3. Ordering and contract

Before placing an order you can review and correct your basket and customer details. After placing the order you receive electronic confirmation that we have received it.

We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing, inventory or technical errors that you could reasonably have recognised as errors. If an order cannot be fulfilled, we will contact you as soon as possible.

4. Prices and payment

Prices for the EU market are shown in EUR. For other supported destinations, the currency and applicable charges are shown in the storefront and checkout. Applicable taxes, shipping and other order charges are presented before the order is completed where required.

You can pay using the payment methods available in checkout. Methods may vary by market, device and order. Card payments may be authorised or reserved before final capture. Third-party payment methods may be subject to the provider’s own terms.

5. Shipping and delivery

Available shipping methods, prices and estimated delivery times are shown in checkout. If a selected pickup point is full, closed or unable to receive the parcel, the carrier may redirect the shipment to another nearby pickup point.

If goods are delayed, backordered or unexpectedly unavailable, we will contact you with information about the delay and your options.

6. Age-restricted products

Age-restricted products are sold only where legally permitted and subject to the age limits and verification requirements applicable to the relevant destination. Where required, an order may be rejected or cancelled if the necessary age verification cannot be completed.

7. Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. For goods, the period normally runs from the day after you receive the goods. If a single order is delivered in separate parts, the period runs from receipt of the final item or part.

You can use the Cancel / return order function linked in the footer or send a clear notice to shop@chiliklaus.dk. Simply failing to collect a parcel is not sufficient notice of withdrawal.

After notifying us, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notice.

Return costs and address

You normally bear the direct cost of returning goods when exercising the right of withdrawal, where you were informed of this in advance. If you use a return label or return solution supplied by us, its cost may be deducted from the refund. The actual amount is shown when the return is created and may vary by shipping method, parcel size, weight and carrier pricing.

Returns should be sent directly to: Chili Klaus, Balticagade 19, st., 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark. You bear the risk of the return shipment until it reaches us.

Exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply where the law provides an exception, including goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly and sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken after delivery.

Condition of goods and refund

You are only responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

When you withdraw from the entire purchase, we refund the payments received from you, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered at the time of purchase. Extra delivery costs for a more expensive method are not refunded. Refunds are made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that they have been returned.

8. Faulty goods and legal guarantee

For EU consumer sales, goods are covered by at least a 2-year legal guarantee against lack of conformity from delivery. National law in your country may provide additional protection.

If goods are faulty or not as described, applicable law may entitle you to repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination of the contract, depending on the circumstances. A justified remedy must be provided without the costs that the law places on the seller.

Please contact shop@chiliklaus.dk before returning a faulty item so we can arrange the practical handling.

9. Complaints

Please contact us first at shop@chiliklaus.dk so we can try to resolve the issue. For cross-border consumer disputes in Europe, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) may be able to assist.

10. Personal data

We process the personal data necessary to receive, process, deliver and follow up your order and to comply with legal obligations. Please see our Privacy Policy for further information.

11. Applicable law

Danish law applies to the contract to the extent permitted, but this does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in the country where you live and to which we direct our sales.

12. Model withdrawal notice

Use this only if you wish to notify us of withdrawal in writing.
